ATTENDEE GUIDANCE
Are you new to this event?
Is this your first time attending a furry convention, or have you experienced one before?
With so many events and people, you might not be sure what to do.
It may feel unfamiliar and awkward at first, but a furry convention is a great opportunity to connect with people who share your interest in furry culture and to see various artworks and fursuits in person that you may have only seen online.
Whether you’re a seasoned attendee with an excited heart, or joining for the first time, we recommend reading the guide below to help you get started.
Mindset
A furry convention is a place where people who love furries and fursuits gather. If you’re attending a convention for the first time, you may feel anxious, but remember that many participants are excited to meet friends they’ve only known online, introduce their fursonas to others, and make new friends.
Taking Care of Your Health.
Don’t overexert yourself. Enjoy delicious food, pay extra attention to personal hygiene, and make sure to get enough sleep. You don’t have to experience every single event to fully enjoy the convention. Finding what you want to do and discovering your own fun will make the experience even more enjoyable. Take breaks as needed, depending on your energy and mood, and enjoy the event at your own pace.
Mindfulness.
With so many people gathered, a variety of things can happen. You might not get to see your favorite fursuit, lose something, or have your plans with friends change unexpectedly. Remember the locations where staff are stationed (like the reception desk) or where crowds gather (such as in front of the main hall), and keep an open mind—opportunities will always come your way.
Setting Goals.
Setting a few goals for what you want to achieve at the convention can help you make the most of the event. Do you want to visit a booth run by your favorite artist, chat with them, and buy some merchandise? Capture memorable moments with fursuiters on camera? Meet and mingle with new people? The more specific your goals, the more rewarding your experience will be.
Introducing Yourself.
Just as you take an interest in others, people will also be interested in you. If you’re not used to introducing yourself, you can express your personality through your badge or by handing out business cards. Especially at Fur:ade, you can decorate your large badge as you like, so try customizing it to show your style!
Being Open.
FUR:RAID 2025 will bring together a diverse group of people. You’ll encounter fursuits of all styles and a wide range of art at the booths, exposing you to many interests and tastes within the fandom. Some of these may be hard to understand, but you don’t have to relate to everything to be part of the community. Engage with different people and preferences, focus on what you enjoy, and build positive relationships. Even if someone isn’t particularly interested in your hobbies, it doesn’t mean it’s a negative experience. Use this as an opportunity to broaden your horizons and explore a bigger world.
Packing Essentials

Essential Items
- Passport: You may need to verify your identity or age at the venue, or for safety reasons.
- Cash: While some official booths or the Dealer's Den may accept mobile payment methods like KakaoPay or Toss, unstable internet or unexpected issues can make cash necessary. Cash is also useful if you lose your phone or belongings.
- Mobile Phone & Charger: You’ll need your phone to contact friends, receive urgent calls, and take photos with fursuiters. Don’t forget your charger.
- Spare Clothes: Extra clothes are always helpful if your return trip is delayed or you end up staying out longer than planned.
- Toiletries: Always maintain good hygiene. The more everyone keeps clean, the safer the event will be for all.
- Personal Medications: Unexpected situations can happen to anyone. Bring basic medicines (painkillers, ointments, etc.) just in case.
Optional Items
- Power Adapter (220V in Korea): If you’re visiting Fur:ade from overseas, you may need a power adapter. Korea uses 220V outlets with two round pins.
- Fursuit Care Supplies: If you’re bringing a fursuit, pack items to help care for it—such as disinfectant spray, a brush, fabric deodorizer, and extra innerwear.
- Business Cards: The easiest way to introduce yourself. Hand them out to new friends or to those who take photos of your fursuit.
- Camera: If you want to capture moments from Fur:ade 2025 or get detailed shots of your favorite fursuiters, a dedicated camera may be better than your phone.
- Portable Battery: Power outlets may be hard to find or already in use. A portable battery will help keep your devices charged.
- Snacks & Drinks: You might miss meal times or need a quick hydration boost. Keep some snacks and drinks handy for emergencies.
If you’re worried about forgetting something, making a checklist is a great way to ensure you have everything you need.
Event Badge
Always wear your event badge in a visible place. Staff may ask to check your badge for participation in various events.
If you forget or lose your badge, contact a staff member immediately.
Programs and Schedule
Check the program and full schedule on the official website, SNS, or the conbook.
Some programs may have queues or participant limits, so plan ahead to make the most of the event.
Venue Facilities
FUR:RAID 2025 is divided into various grounds (convention halls).
Entry times and ticket tiers may differ by ground, so please follow staff instructions.
Changing in fursuits is only allowed in designated changing rooms or your private room—not in other areas like restrooms.
All photography, including selfies, is prohibited inside the fursuit changing room.
If you purchased a standard or day pass, you must also purchase access to the changing room to use it.
Health and Safety
Get enough sleep and take breaks throughout the event. Don’t skip meals, and stay hydrated.
Always follow announcements and staff instructions.
First aid kits are available at the hotel; ask hotel staff for help if needed.
Resting outside your room can make it hard to distinguish who truly needs assistance, so use appropriate spaces for breaks.
If you feel unwell or need help, contact staff, volunteers, or hotel employees immediately.
Personal Belongings
Keep your valuables with you at all times. The event is not responsible for lost items.
If you find a lost item, report it to a staff member.
Hotel Facilities
While it’s great to have fun with friends in your room, remember that others may need quiet rest. Speak quietly in hallways or outside rooms, and avoid leaving your room door open. All hotel facilities are valuable assets—use them carefully and keep them clean.
Drones are not allowed anywhere on hotel property, even if you have a license, due to hotel and legal regulations.
Alcohol consumption is only permitted in guest rooms. For everyone’s safety and comfort, please avoid excessive drinking.
Convention Etiquette
Elevator Use
When it’s crowded, there may be a wait for the elevator. If possible, please give priority to fursuiters.
Always let people exit the elevator before you board. Wait until everyone has exited before entering.
How to Interact with Fursuits
Fursuits have very limited visibility and hearing. Make sure to give them enough space to move safely.
Always ask for permission before taking photos, hugging, or interacting with a fursuiter.
Each fursuit is precious to its owner. Avoid approaching with liquids, food, or writing instruments in hand, as these can cause stains or damage.
Fursuiters are popular and many people want to meet them. Please don’t hold them up for too long or make unreasonable requests, as this can be inconsiderate.
Order and Cleanliness
Always follow instructions from staff, volunteers, and hotel employees. Cooperate with queue management to reduce congestion.
Public hygiene is a shared responsibility. Keep yourself and your surroundings clean.
Kindness and Smiles
Take the opportunity at Fur:ade 2025 to greet acquaintances, make new friends, and meet your favorite fursuiters or artists.
Everyone is valuable and unique. To ensure a pleasant event, be mindful not to let your mood affect your attitude, and treat everyone kindly.
Photography
Everyone has a right to their image. If you take photos with people’s faces, protect their privacy by using mosaic or cropping as needed.
Photography is strictly prohibited in headless zones and changing rooms.
After taking photos, consider photographing badges as well to record names or SNS IDs, making it easier to share and connect later.
Do not photograph or record booths, panels, or individuals without their permission. If you see unauthorized photography, report it immediately to staff, volunteers, or hotel employees.
If you’ve read this far, it means you’re truly ready to enjoy the event!
We hope you’ll have an unforgettable and special experience at FUR:RAID 2025.
Let’s all be considerate and make sure everyone can enjoy the event safely and happily.
See you at FUR:RAID 2025!
