General Participant Guidelines
- During the Event, various individuals may be present or staying at the venue, including members of the general public who may not be familiar with furry or fursuit fandom culture. Please respect others and take care not to cause discomfort.
- Attendee badges and group-specific benefits may generally be used only by the purchaser. Lending, transferring, or sharing them with others without prior consultation with the FUR:RAID Organizing Committee is prohibited.
- Long-term occupation of hotel or Event venue areas, use of distribution points, distribution of promotional materials, and all commercial activities by groups or individuals without prior consultation with the FUR:RAID Organizing Committee are prohibited.
Guidelines for General Participants
- Many fursuits participating in the Event represent unique and irreplaceable characters that are deeply valued by their owners. Please keep this in mind and interact with fursuiters gently and respectfully.
- Some fursuiters may not be comfortable with physical contact, photography, or similar interactions. Before hugging, making physical contact, or taking photos, you must obtain the other person’s consent. If your request is declined, you must not pressure or force the other person.
- Please read not only the general policies and precautions, but also the guidelines for fursuiters.
Guidelines for Fursuiters
- The Event changing rooms are shared spaces. Please observe proper space etiquette and avoid bringing excessive belongings.
- When changing into or out of a fursuit, you must use the changing rooms inside the Event venue. Changing in hotel restrooms or outside the hotel is prohibited.
- Access to the changing rooms requires an attendee badge that includes changing-room access privileges. Even while wearing a fursuit, please keep your badge in a clearly visible location.
- The space available to each person in the changing room is approximately half of a long table and may need to be shared with others. If personal belongings are left unattended on a table for an extended period, staff may organize or move them.
- You may be asked to refrain from wearing costumes deemed inappropriate, including sexually explicit outfits. Please keep in mind that minors may be present among the participants.
- Please monitor your physical condition and engage in fursuiting only within a reasonable and safe range. Remove your fursuit head or change out of your fursuit as needed to rest properly.
- First-time fursuiters must be accompanied by a supporter and should not wear a fursuit for extended periods.
- Please refrain from conduct that may be mistaken for an emergency or physical illness, such as sleeping while fursuiting or lying on the floor for an extended period. If staff determine that a person wearing a fursuit may be in danger, for example, if the person appears disoriented or does not respond to external stimuli, staff may remove the fursuit as necessary for safety. The organizer will not be liable for unavoidable damage to the fursuit occurring during this process unless caused by the organizer’s willful misconduct or gross negligence.
- Before fursuiting, please consider and prepare in advance how you will communicate with others while wearing a fursuit, including through support from a handler, direct speech, body language, placards, or other methods.
- If an issue arises while wearing a fursuit and you have difficulty expressing your intentions, such as harm from assault or harassment, property damage, or similar matters, please seek assistance from staff immediately.
- Please remember that wearing a fursuit is not an ordinary physical condition but a special condition, and take appropriate care of your health and safety.
